The 3 Big Questions for a Frantic Family – A Leadership Fable

By – Patrick Lencioni

ISBN – 978-0-7879-9532-4

From Inside The Jacket:

Theresa Cousins had never been so mad at her husband.  Ironically, the comment that sparked her anger wasn’t meant as criticism.  In fact, he said it without malice or emotion.

“If my clients ran their companies the way we run this family they’d be out of business.”

In this unique and groundbreaking book, business consultant and New York Times best-selling author Patrick Lencioni turns his sights on the most important organization in our lives – the family.  As a husband and the father of four young boys, Lencioni realized the discrepancy between the time and energy his clients put into running their organizations and the reactive way most people run their personal lives.  Having experienced the stress of a frantic family firsthand, he and his wife began applying some of the tools he uses with Fortune 500 companies at home, and with surprising results.

Like Lencioni’s other books, The Three Big Questions for a Frantic Family is written as a fable, using realistic and humorous characters and plotlines that will keep readers turning pages with anticipation while they’re learning how to bring sanity to their lives.  And they’ll be amazed how just a little bit of structure and a few minutes follow-through each week can make the difference between drudgery and fulfillment at home.

This book will really make you think.  Most families today have 2 working parents.  With kids schedules and extra curricular activities, most of the time you don’t know if you are coming or going.  The book will help you put a little structure in your life that you probably don’t have now.  It will also make you think about your work life also, and how it probably needs a little structure too.

I rate this an A- Excellent

This is the first book that I’ve read by Robin McGraw and I really enjoyed it.  Granted, some of the things that she wrote about we have heard before, but she also gives us lots of great ideas and examples on what we can all do to feel better about ourselves and to also look good.  Robin looks great.  It was also interesting to read some of her personal stories. She has a great family – Dr. Phil, 2 sons and a gorgeous daughter-in-law.

The book really makes us think on how we can better ourselves and our lives.

I will definitely be buying more of Robin’s books.
